About the event
Combining four decades of scholarship with more than five playing guitar, Ainslie presents a beguiling look at the African and American roots of the Blues. He is the author of "Robert Johnson/At The Crossroads"-- a book of transcriptions with history and fully annotated lyrics for all Johnson's recorded songs, and is the video teacher for Hal Leonard's "Robert Johnson's Guitar Techniques." His performing and teaching have consistently earned him high marks in student evaluations over the years. During the pandemic, Ainslie maintained an active schedule teaching online lessons, leading workshops, writing, recording, and presenting online performances.
