About the event
Curtis Eller is a banjo player, songwriter, dancer, and storyteller whose legendary live performances have captivated audiences for more than thirty years. A former child juggler and acrobat, he traded the circus for the banjo because "that's where the money is!"
With his band, The American Circus, Eller has built an international following through electrifying performances that blend masterful songwriting, silent film-style physical comedy, and explosive rock & roll energy. Their recordings conjure a dreamlike America where history folds in on itself, populated by corrupt politicians, faded movie stars, forgotten prizefighters, and the occasional inexplicable appearance by Elvis Presley or Richard Nixon. Together, the band brings Eller's vividly cinematic songs to life on stage.
